We enjoyed a lovely Tuesday lunch and left with a genuinely positive impression overall. Upon arrival, I had anticipated the Tequila Especial promotion; the staff graciously clarified that Tuesdays feature a Churrasco Especial two-for-one instead — a worthwhile detail to keep in mind for future visits. The ambiance is truly exceptional — warm, inviting, and the kind of setting that encourages you to slow down and savor the moment. A special note of appreciation to our server, Leidys, whose attentiveness and genuine hospitality elevated the entire dining experience. In the interest of balanced feedback, the garlic shrimp were slightly overcooked on this occasion and lacked the moisture we had hoped for. That said, it is a minor note in an otherwise enjoyable visit, and one we fully intend to revisit — we are confident it was an off-day rather than the norm. We look forward to returning and continuing to explore the menu.

The seafood selection is outstanding, with just about every dish you can think of prepared fresh and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and full of character. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner with friends or just looking for a great meal, the staff makes you feel right at home. I had the fried shrimp, and it was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and served with delicious sides and sauces. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the overall experience was excellent. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban food, fresh seafood, and a great local vibe, Sonia’s is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back.

We were celebrating a birthday at Sonia Restaurant and it was very pleasant to stay there. Good professional service from the waitress and a guy who was waiting for the table all the time, serving the water and the service in general. The atmosphere is super good, it seems that you are outside Miami, something similar to the atmosphere of Cayo Hueso. The food is very well prepared, with good flavor, well served. They also have a market that is great to buy and take home. 100% recommended.

I’ve been coming to this place for the past couple of months. Food is always great. Customer service is always good but I took my mom a few days ago for the first time and my server Mari Was absolutely excellent Her assistant Laydie I hope I spelt that right we’re absolutely great. Best I’d rather so far. We sent out on the deck because it is ready for see now and it was a great experience night breathing music volume was right on the deck. Food was absolutely excellent. Can’t wait to take her back. I highly recommend the square fish and the two for one lobster one day they cut the lobster on point . Thank you Mari
